Pellegrini ends COVID-19 quarantine

Italian 2008 Olympic champion swimmer Federica Pellegrini announced the end of her quarantine on Thursday.

ROME, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Italian 2008 Olympic champion swimmer Federica Pellegrini announced the end of her quarantine on Thursday.

"Negativaaa, I'm going out!" the world record holder in 200m freestyle wrote on Instagram, two weeks after testing positive for COVID-19.

Pellegrini had to sit out the International Swimming League in Budapest on October 16-19 and 24-27. ■
