Team Liquid officially introduced longtime TSM mid laner Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg on Wednesday as the newest member of their roster for the 2022 League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) season.
It is the first team change for the 25-year-old Denmark native since he joined TSM in November 2013.
Bjergsen transitioned into a head coaching role last season with TSM but opted not to renew his contract in order to resume his playing career.
"I think (Team Liquid) just really is similar to how I am in a lot of ways," Bjergsen said in a video released by the team. "They really care about winning. Winning is their No. 1 priority, and I think they show a lot of respect to the craft of esports and League of Legends, which is something that really resonates with me."
He joins a lineup that recently added top laner Gabriel "Bwipo" Rau of Belgium and AD carry Steven "Hans sama" Liv of France. Returning players include jungler Lucas "Santorin" Larsen of Denmark and support Yong-in "CoreJJ" Jo of South Korea.
